Description: We are pleased to inform you that effective July 1, 2020, the Maine Education Association Benefits Trust (MEABT) will transition to a Group Medicare Advantage plan from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The plan name is Anthem Medicare Preferred (PPO) with Senior Rx Plus. This plan offers both medical and prescription drug coverage (Part D). The new Medicare Advantage plan will replace your current Group Companion Plan.

What you should expect next?

Starting in January/February 2020, we will host a series of benefit education meetings to provide you more information about Anthem Medicare Preferred (PPO) with Senior Rx Plus plan. Informational materials will be supplied at these meetings. Please make sure to check for additional meeting updates
online or by calling the MEABT office at 207-622- 4418, extension 2240, or toll free at 1-800-452-8709.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield has a dedicated First Impressions Welcome Team ready to answer questions you may have about the plan offering and provide support throughout the transition period. Please feel free to contact our First Impressions Welcome Center at 1- 844-951-0624 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, except holidays.
