LD 178, a bill in the state legislature that would lift the amount paid towards health care for retired educators in the MainePERS system.
The bill's work session will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29th in the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee in the Cross Office Building in Augusta. We strongly encourage MEA-Retired members to be there to show their support for the bill by wearing RED. We will not have a chance to speak at the work session, but a strong crowd wearing red will show our support for this bill.
LD 1104 is law. See letter from John Kosinski here.
